The Imaginarium Arts Centre is the first dedicated arts venue for children and young people in Northern Ireland and home to the Sticky Fingers programme.
When you visit the Imaginarium Arts Centre you can take part in lots of different art activities from sculpture, drawing, painting, gluing, sticking, to dressing up, writing stories, making friends to making magic!
The Imaginarium is an inspirational and unique venue that provides exciting and highly imaginative arts and creative programs for children from 0 to 17 years six days per week.
The Imaginarium was created especially for children to have a space where they have the freedom to play and all programmes are facilitated by a highly skilled team of professional artist’s and play workers to ensure that we provide the right experience for each child.
Located on Edward Street in the heart of Newry city centre, the Imaginarium boasts, a unique Arts Café providing drop in arts activities each day as well as tasty treats, a full programme of workshops, the Imagination lab for little explorers, inventors and artists and the Imaginarium Story Centre, the first of its kind in Ireland, a magical land where stories are told and where adventures begin. A unique interactive creative play space recommend for children from 2 years upward.
The Sticky Fingers team are busy working on phase two of the Imaginarium, which will include new exhibition spaces, additional workshop spaces and a 250-seat theatre.
